
Our Typical Day:
Each day begins with Morning Prayer lead by a student-produced and anchored television morning news show. Fifth and sixth graders produce the show with all students participating at some point during the school year.
Classroom teaching follows with concentration on the core curriculum including math, language arts, reading, science, social studies and religion.
Programs in addition to the core-curriculum include Computer Lab, Spanish, Library, Science Lab, Art, Music, and Physical Education.
An Accelerated Reader (AR) Program is utilized in second through sixth grades to encourage reading.
Technology is integrated into daily classroom instruction using SmartBoards, Alpha Smarts, classroom computers, and the Classroom Performance System (CPS).
The Discovery Center is dedicated to students recommended for enrichment or remediation.
Teachers are responsible for Differentiated Instruction, knowledge of grade-level curriculum, and awareness of the total Diocesan curriculum. The Principal and Assistant Principal are responsible for overseeing curriculum implementation and discipline.
After-school activities include:
Yoga,
Lego Robotics Engineering,
Karate,
Dance,
Beginning Band,
Game Day,
Cooking,
Rosary Club,
Chess Club, and
Select Choir.
